This is a social networking website that is currently under construction. Users can setup a profile, upload an avatar image, edit their details, comment on other profiles, add others as friends, start group debate topics and a lot of other stuff.

The Veterinary Centre Wexford wanted a website that would represent their vet clinic. I chose earth-brown gradients and pale green colours to enhance the “nature-like” feel of their website. I also used high quality images of pets to grab the attention of visitors. The site also has an inbuilt control panel so that the administrator can login and post news content easily and quickly. With the system (TinyMCE) that I integrated into their website, creating news content for the site is just as easy as typing up a Word document. The website also has a contact form that allows visitors to send emails to the owner without having to open up Gmail, Hotmail or Outlook.

Bebo Skins Zone is a social network that allows users to register an account, fill out their profile details, upload a profile image/avatar and submit graphical “Bebo skins” that others can then use on their Bebo profiles (like MySpace layouts). The site allows members to comment on each other’s profiles and skins.  The site also has it’s own custom forum. This system was built using PHP and MySQL.

SellMix.com is a dynamic database-driven Buy and Sell website. The system, which was built using PHP and MySQL, allows front-end users (visitors) to post classified adverts. SellMix is integrated with PayPal IPN so that users can pay for their classified adverts over the Internet, using a credit card or debit card. The system was built to look after itself. This means that it automatically updates adverts as “payed for” once confirmation is received from PayPal that the user’s payment has been verfied. It also automatically purges expired adverts and their related images from the system so that the administrator doesn’t have to worry about manually deleting adverts that have reached their expiration date. SellMix has a built-in administrator control panel that allows the owner to operate the website without the need for any real tech know-how.
